At Kupa, we screen for exceptional talent in South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria using our proprietary potential-based hiring model. Our approach goes beyond assessing exisiting experience and skills (traditionally known as “experience-based hiring” and “skills-based hiring”). We assess technical skills through a case study tailored to the role, co-designed with the client to reflect real-world tasks. We encourage clients to conduct the case study within a reasonable timeframe to assess the quality of a candidate’s output.

This is important because a candidate’s genuine interest and enthusiasm for the industry or role contributes significantly to their long-term success and adaptability.
